I used to be overweight just like you and if I managed to lose weight then I believe you too can succeed in losing weight. I never used to attend pool parties because I would not fit in the swim suites. Although I really loved swimming as a kid, I was unable to enjoy it as a grown up since I could not fit in any bikini. The fact that I could not fit into any bikini made me develop a very negative self image. I really hated the way I look and as is only natural I started hating myself in the process.

As a woman you need to love the way your body looks otherwise you are going to develop a very negative attitude towards life. The key to loving life and living each day to the fullest has to do with loving your physical appearance. For me it was very difficult growing up since I was the only girl in our class who was overweight. I cannot begin to tell you just how many nightmares I heard each night because of the constant insults I received from my classmates. This really affected my self esteem to the point that I could not even walk outside the house.

If you compare the way I look today and the way I used to look before, you will be amazed by how much I have been able to improve my body physique. I must tell you that the road to losing weight is not as simple as others will have you believe. Being a woman makes the journey even harder because we lack enough testosterone hormones in the body. This is because testosterones are the ones responsible for the development of the lean body muscles. The lean muscles on the other hand are responsible for increasing a person’s body metabolism. The more lean muscles your body has the higher the rate of your body metabolism. Therefore since women do not have enough testosterone levels it becomes extra hard to increase the lean body muscles. This should however not discourage you into taking synthetic proteins or steroids in order to increase the lean muscles. When you take steroids, you may end up suffering from the following side effects; shrinking of the testicles, decreased sex drive, development of breasts in men, enlargement of the clitoris, disruption of the menstrual cycle, increased acne on the face and back, liver problems, heart conditions, insomnia, withdrawal syndrome and increased aggression.

There are three things which helped me in my quest to lose weight. The first one involved plenty of aerobic exercises. There are various aerobic exercises you can perform such as walking, jogging, cycling, walking the treadmill, and attending aerobic classes. Aerobics are very effective in helping you burn excess calories. The second thing which helped me lose weight was weight training exercises. Weight training exercises will help you achieve permanent weight loss. You should also eat healthy meals while watching your calorie intake at the same time.
